You can open a virtual desktop from a web browser. Google guys, hope you can make it a wonderful desktop rather than Microsoft windows. XUL and AJAX may be the ways.

Greatemonkey is another good stuff on the web. Try to find good script and run on your browser. Having DHTML by yourself. Hay, it's the web of future!
